After Ralph sees the Naval Officer, he heads back home with him. it took two and half days to get home from the Island. Finally, Ralph gets home after being on the island for a while. He looks a mess, like a SAVAGE!! He knocks on the door of his home and it opens up quickly. He looks up and sees his mother. She begins to cry, because she misses him soo dearly. He smiles without saying a word, then takes another look at her and says " I'm okay mom" " I'm home." She holds him tight with more tears coming from her eyes.      They eventually go inside and have dinner. they talk about what happened and how they survived for such a long time. Dad said he missed him a lot, he prayed every night that Ralph would soon return home. Ralph smiled, " I miss you too dad" he said. Ralph continued talking about his epic journey. His brothers thought it was cool he became chief of everybody, and boy did they hate the sound of Jack. ...

Ch.12 Journal

Dear Diary, Ralph for the last time. I'm completely alone now—no Piggy, no Simon, no SamnEric. I hid in the thick underbrush, wondering what to do about the rather serious wound on my ribs. I can't wash myself without risking capture, so I just lied there, trying to think. At one point, peering out from my hiding spot, I see a painted face—Bill. But no; this wasn't Bill. It was a savage who had nothing to do with Bill. Finally, as the sunlight starts to fade, I snuck over to the edge of the thicket so I can see what Jack and his group are doing. The smoke is rising and I can smell the pig they are roasting. I'm so hungry. I try to convince myself that they will leave me alone, that everything was an accident and that "they're not as bad as that." It doesn't work. I made my way back to the beach and on the way comes to a clearing in the forest. The adult gives them a little lecture, saying that a group of British boys should...

Ch.11 Journal

Dear Diary, hey buddy how you been? The next morning, me and my few companions try to light the fire in the cold air, but the attempt is hopeless without Piggy’s glasses. Piggy, squinting and barely able to see, suggests that I hold a meeting to discuss their options. I blew the conch shell, and the boys who have not gone to join Jack's tribe assemble on the beach. They decide that their only choice is to travel to the Castle Rock to make Jack and his followers see reason. I've  decided to take the conch shell to the Castle Rock, hoping that it will remind Jack’s followers of his former authority. Once at Jack’s camp, however, my group encounters armed guards. Jack and I fought for the second time in a row, and Piggy cries out shrilly, struggling to make himself heard over the brawl. I heard  the rock falling, I dove and dodges it. But the boulder strikes Piggy, shatters the conch shell he is holding, and knocks him o...

Ch.10 Journal

Dear Diary, Ralph here. Me and Piggy met Early this morning. Piggy and I are bruised up and sore, we feel ashamed of our behavior the previous night. At the Castle Rock, Jack rules with absolute power. Boys are punished for no apparent reason. Jack ties up and beats a boy named Wilfred and then warns the boys against me and my small group, saying that they are a danger to the tribe. The entire tribe, including Jack, seems to believe that Simon really was the beast, and that the beast is capable of assuming any disguise. The boys at my camp drift off to sleep, depressed and losing interest in the signal fire. I was sleeping fitfully, plagued by nightmares. then we are awakened by howling and shrieking and are suddenly attacked by a group of Jack’s hunters. The hunters badly beat me and his companions, who do not even know why they were assaulted, for they gladly would have shared the fire with the other boys. But i guess Piggy knows why, for t...

Ch.9 Journal

Dear Diary, Ralph here. How you been? Oh me, I'll do better hopefully. Simon threw up earlier, he smelt the dead body. Jacks side of the mountain had a little bit of smoke coming from it, I knew the boys picked him. I just have the littlun's and Piggy left. Piggy thinks their going to join Jack at the festival. I mean... I guess so. Piggy thinks it's only right to join the festival. Jack does this new thing were he waves his spear when he speaks, just like I did when I used the conch. I noticed them trying to persuade the boys to stay with their group. its fine I guess... The conch means nothing now absolutely ZERO power! Today the boys thought the parachutists was the beast. like seriously. So the parachutists slid off the mountain and now were fine. I mean I think we are... R.I.P Simon, you was a great friend to every single one of us. You helped us all, but me the most especially when I didn't want you around. Your always remembered.   ...

Ch.8 Journal

Dear Diary, I missed you. Ready to hear what I have to say? Well... Jack decided that he was going to take the conch shell in blow into it for an assembly. He tells the boys that he's positive there's a beast on the top of the mountain. Then he talks about how I'm the coward who should be removed from my leadership role. Like who is he to make the rules? However the boys decided they wasn't going to remove me. It made Jack upset so he stormed away saying he was leaving and if any boy wanted to join then to follow him.      Piggy was happy that Jack was leaving. I was in deep trouble because I had no clue what to do. Simon added that we should go to the mountain to find the beast. The boys were afraid to act on his suggestion so we they didn't bother. Then I went into a depression, but piggy succeeded at cheering me up. Piggy said that they should make a new fire signal again, my mind lit up for a second. I felt like we'd be saved.....

Ch.7 Journal

Dear Bestfriend/Diary, Today was an okay day. The boys stop to eat as they traveled up the mountain. I gazed disconsolately at the choppy ocean and muses on the fact that the boys have become slovenly and undisciplined. I looked out at the vast expense of the water, I felt weird. Kind of like a wall blocking any chance of the boys escaping.      That afternoon, the hunters found pig droppings, and jack suggests they hunt the pig while they continue to search for the beast. Of course the boys agreed and they ended up tracking a large boar, which lead them on a wild chase.      Night time falls, and I suggested we wait until morning to climb he mountain because it was very difficult to hunt the monster at night. Jack tried to challenge me to join the hunt at first I was unsure of it, then I finally agreed. Jack, Roger, and I all began to climb the mountain. Roger and I got to the top and saw a terrifying spe...
